In view of the excess fat bulging out it overhangs the bony orbit. Hence in this method the eye bag is opened and the fat which normally sits in the bony socket is pulled out and anchored further down to the cheek.
Advantage
- In selected patient who have deep tear trough defect.
Disadvantages
- Long operation
- Higher risk of sunken eye look years later as eye orbital fat is anchored onto cheek.
